What can I take to increase my strength?
The type of training you do will largely determine the kind of physique you develop and the level of strength you acquire. Not every persons body responds the same way to the same training methods but generally speaking, doing less repetitions with heavier weight typically leads to greater strength increases. That means doing sets of 1-4 reps, occasionally going up to 6 reps. Since these lifts exert more energy per rep due to the heavy weight its very common to increase the amount of rest time in-between sets. Compound exercises are also a great way to build strength.
How does all this relate to supplementation? For each challenge you'll face there's a supplement that can help.
Supplements like laxogenin have been reported to significantly increase strength and can be taken year round. Many supplements include laxogenin as an active ingredient in their muscle building formula. Creatine is also a great supplement to increase strength and muscular performance. Testosterone boosters can provide a noticeable increase in strength if you remain consistent and take them for at least 30-60 days. Pre-workouts are another great way to maximize your strength output because they contain ingredients that will help you push yourself to your max and have more endurance. These supplements have a direct impact on strength but there are other supplements that indirectly impact your strength gains like complex carbs or insulin memetics.
The stronger you get, the heavier you can lift and the more control you have over the weight. Good form, proper breathing, and controling the tempo still plays an important role when your lifting heavy.
